I believe aliens probably exist in the universe, and probably even our galaxy. I believe most likely aliens have NOT visited Earth. My brother and I have been interested in UFOs since we were kids. We still talk about new evidence and recommend books to each other. He was always more of a "believer" than I. Recently we have both concluded that the most likely explanation for the unresolved UFO sitings (i.e. those that aren't clearly birds, balloons, or other mistaken identification) are black budget government projects, coupled with a purposeful government disinformation campaign designed to deflect attention from them to aliens. (That way foreign governments would not chalk up air space incursions to the US, but to "aliens" or just discount them.)
After WWII, the US, brought over a lot of German scientists, some of whom had been working on "flying saucer" tech. Popular Mechanics got their hands on a declassified blueprints for a saucer type spacecraft developed for the USAF to be used as an orbiting nuclear missile platform. It was designed to operating in orbit for weeks at a time with up to 4 nuclear missiles on board. See http://www.popularmechanics.com/technol ... 81221.html .
Roswell was a secret project to use balloons to listen for the audio signatures of nuclear testing in the USSR. The program is similar to the ocean network used by the US Navy today. In the ocean and atmosphere differences in temperature of the water/air cause layers. These layers can carry sounds vast distances. The thermoclines are what whales use in the ocean to sing their songs over hundreds of miles. The US in WWII used these thermoclines to find downed pilots and sailers, who were issued metal spheres that were designed to be tossed overboard from their life rafts. The spheres were crushed at a certain depths due to the water pressure. The implosion caused a loud sound. The sound would be carried for hundreds of miles due to the properties of the thermocline. The US could then use triangulation from several microphone stations to locate the survivors. Roswell was an attempt to extend this technology into the atmosphere to detect Russian atmospheric nuclear testing. The technology was rendered obsolete by satellites. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thermocline The wikipedia page has some info on theremoclines. The ocean theremoclines are still important in sub warfare today. Man I wish I had time to write more about this and post some links to references, but I'm supposed to working!
Anyway, I think it would be cool if aliens were visiting Earth. I am open to the idea that they are, but basically all the evidence that I have looked at usually has a more mundane explanation. And since I am a hobbyist, I am more likely to figure that the ones that don't have an explanation are due simply to my lack of time and knowledge to find one. Frankly, it comes down to that as I have gotten older, all the magic in the world has gone away.
Which is actually kinda sad.EDIT
Ok, I have added some quick links above. As you can tell, I am definitely interested in this stuff.
EDIT 2
I voted No, cause I don't think they have visited the Earth, but I wouldn't say that it is crazy talk (the only option was No, Crazy Talk). I think there is enough evidence to warrant a discussion. And I wouldn't be surprised if some people have more evidence than I, or interpret it differently. Let the discussion continue!

I don't think they have come to Earth either, but I'm sure other life exists in the universe. I'm not sure what they would think of our violent citizens; they may have jetted over and taken off considering we are too barbaric. :) It's interesting how you consider not believing in alien visits not believing in magic. I would rather have Santa Claus become a reality than martians. ;)
